Refund & Cancellation Policy

Plain-language summary. You can cancel your organizer subscription at any time and keep access until the end of the current billing period. We don't generally refund partial periods, but we'll always make things right if we billed you in error or the service was broken on our end. Refunds for individual badminton sessions are handled by the organizer of that session.

Organizer subscriptions

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or via the customer portal. When you cancel:

  • Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.
  • You will not be charged again for the next period.
  • We do not generally refund the unused portion of the current period.

If we billed you in error, charged you after a confirmed cancellation, or the platform was materially unavailable for an extended period, contact us and we'll issue a refund or credit as appropriate.

Trials, upgrades and downgrades

Free trials, if offered, end automatically at the date shown at checkout; you can cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Upgrading mid-cycle takes effect immediately and is prorated by Stripe. Downgrading takes effect at the start of the next billing period.

Statutory rights (EU / UK)

Where applicable, consumers in the EU and UK have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital subscriptions purchased online. By starting to use the paid features during that period, you may waive this right for any portion of the service already supplied. Mandatory consumer-protection rights under your local law are not affected by this policy.

Player session signups

Most badminton sessions are paid directly to the organizer (cash, bank transfer, or their own payment method) and are not processed by PlayBadminton. Whether a session signup can be cancelled or refunded — and on what notice — is set by the organizer of that session.

You can cancel your own signup from the session page or your dashboard. If you have already paid the organizer, contact the organizer directly to request a refund.

If a session is cancelled or materially changed by the organizer, the organizer is responsible for refunding any fees they collected.

Chargebacks

Please reach out to us before disputing a charge with your bank — most issues can be resolved within a day. Disputed charges may result in your subscription being suspended until the dispute is settled.

How to request a refund

Use the support form below or in the footer of any page. Include the email on your account, the date of the charge, the amount, and a short explanation. We aim to respond within a few business days.
